Sarah and I went to this concert because Sarah is a fan. It was a good show, not the best I have been to but better than quite a few. The crowd was an interesting mix of young and old, cowboy and trendy 20 somethings (is it possible to be both?). The sound was top notch and the lighting was minimalistic and well done. I haven't listened to Steve's latest album so I didn't know that it was going to be such a politically influenced show. At one point he said, "I make a lot of money for a borderline Marxist" and went on to say that if he had to he'd use his wealth to make sure that his sons didn't fight in Iraq (I guess he's thinking that there is a possibility of a draft happening again). His set was about 2.5 hours including two encores. Allison Morrow was the opening act and joined Steve and the Dukes on stage multiple times. She has a very good voice and is easy on the eyes as well. If I had to rate the show out of five starts I'd give it four.
